Joe
Co-Founder | Director
Joe is a qualified refrigeration mechanic with over 15 years of experience. After building a strong foundation in the trade, he moved into leadership and management roles before co-founding WA Gases in 2016 with Alex and Evan.
Joe now oversees the technical side of the business, applying his expertise in refrigeration to cryogenics and high-pressure gases. He was responsible for the installation and commissioning of the company’s filling plant and equipment.
Outside of work, Joe is a devoted family man with two young boys. He’s passionate about health and fitness and holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which helps him relax and maintain balance.
Evan
Co-Founder | Director
After finishing school in 2005, Evan began his career in welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT), becoming a qualified technician in Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, and Dye Penetrant methods.
Frustrated by the lack of service and quality in the welding equipment supply industry, Evan made the decision in 2013 to leave his career and focus full-time on building better businesses—leading to the founding of WA Gases in 2016 alongside Joe and Alex.
Outside of work, Evan is a proud father of two, a passionate gamer and hands-on bush mechanic. He enjoys working on anything automotive, especially his Torana, fabricating custom performance parts, and getting involved in motorsport events.
Alex
Co-Founder | Director
Alex is a qualified refrigeration mechanic with over 10 years of industry experience. After transitioning from tradesman work, he pursued his passion for business and e-commerce, dedicating himself full-time to growing WA Gases’ online presence.
Alex now focuses on developing and expanding the company’s digital footprint. Outside of work, he enjoys being a home handyman, keeping up with his two energetic kids, and watching YouTube videos on car modifications and fabrication.
Alex
Account Manager
Alex has more than 10 years of experience in B2B sales working in various industries from steel beams over to beverages and Telco to now industrial gases. After working in Germany, New Zealand and Japan he calls Australia home since 2020.
In his free time he loves to spend as much time as possible with his family or on the golf course, where his kids will hopefully join him one day.
Hemi
Warehouse Operative
Hemi has been with WA gases since 2024. He is involved in the day-to-day running of the warehouse operations ensuring a smooth transition of goods in and out alongside maintaining they meet the WA gases high standard of quality.

Gavin has been with WA gases since 2026 and his main role is to ensure delivery of your order in an accurate and timely manner. Gavin has vast experience in operating heavy equipment and is a proud Father of 2.
Danny

Danny has been with WA gases since 2025 and his main role is to ensure delivery of your order in a timely manner. Danny has vast experience in operating heavy equipment and is a proud Dad to a Staffy!
